Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025: The Final Four

A month into the Women’s Rugby World Cup tournament and we now know who the four teams will be playing at the Allianz Stadium on Saturday 27th September:

New Zealand v Canada and France v England

Which two will make it through to the final though?

There has been some good stuff happening on the pitch. But how about off the pitch? To be honest, I have so many stories to share. Here are three of my favourites thus far:

  1. An Irish girl was the only rugby player in her year group. After Ireland’s performance in the pool matches, she now has 14 new teammates!
  2. The Japanese team thanking the crowd after losing to New Zealand, the current holders of the World Cup. You can read more about this special moment here.
  3. “Please can my son swap jerseys with you. He speaks so highly of you and it would be his dream.” This is the message, South African Springbok, Aseza Hele, received on social media – from a young boy in England! Again you can read more here.

For me, this tournament has captured hearts and is creating lifelong memories….and that’s just off the pitch!
